Described variously as focused, funny, passionate, sincere, hard charging and dynamic, Marie Carlson has infused both nonprofits and corporations with her own brand of energetic discipline and spirit over the years. The particulars of her career underscore the diversity of her experience and the much sought after combination of skills needed in today’s global economy.

Ms. Carlson has over thirteen years of experience with nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and international corporations. Prior positions have included Assistant Director of a regional community care program for children and Director of Finance and Operations for a national fundraising company. She has extensive experience with a wide range of organizations, including, human service providers, economic development groups, nonprofit management assistance centers, grant makers, school districts, universities, county agencies, and community organizations. Community organizations assisted include Seminole Community College, Seminole County Public Schools, Seminole YMCA, University of Central Florida, Orange County Public Schools, Sea World of Florida, and the Orlando Science Center.

Marie also has national and international experience with both private and public organizations, providing assistance to those intent on accessing international markets, program development, and creative training techniques. She spent several years as Director of International Relations for Walt Disney World Company. Fluent in several languages, Marie has often acted as translator in board rooms across the country, where there is no room for even the slightest word being misconstrued. Language capabilities include French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.

Marie has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida, with a double major in Business Administration and International Public Relations. Much of her course work was completed at The Sorbonne in Paris. She also holds a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Central Florida.

Marie makes her home in Orlando, Florida, where she can shuttle between the beach and the shark tanks at Orlando’s tourist attractions.
